THIS IS WHY Aritzia ROCKS! Providing safe spaces with gender-affirming clothing can significantly enhance the well-being and sense of identity among LGBTQ youth/adults who are under-resourced and experiencing homelessness. It is expected that offering clothing options that align with their gender identity and expression will positively impact their self-esteem, reduce gender dysphoria, and foster a stronger sense of belonging and identity. Additionally, providing clothing, a basic necessity, can prolong the lives, reduce HIV susceptibility, and promote economic advancement opportunities of the unhoused and under-resourced. Overall, Out My Closet's resources have led to improved mental health outcomes, increased resilience, and a greater likelihood of seeking and benefiting from supportive services. We are so grateful for this partnership over the last year.. WE LOVE THE A-TEAM!
